It's the apple fruit marmelade box with the special 'insert slice of bread here' automatic hole.

Sega Mega Drive

I have bought a cheap Sega Mega Drive 2 clone with 2 two games.

Peter 05 May 2009 18:56

Nice one drHirudo - funnily enough I also got a Megadrive - I picked up this MegaDrive II at a BootFair yesterday for £3.00 - It was very dirty but it cleaned up really well and the game pad is in great condition... now to get some more games for it...

Now thats a bargain :agree the Megadrive is probably my favourite console of all time :)

I also went to a car boot and picked up a few classic PC gems at a bargain price:

Maniac Mansion 2: Day of the Tentacle - complete big box CD version in perfect condition for £1

Syndicate and UFO: Enemy Unknown - complete double boxset also perfect for just another £1

The Settlers 2: Veni, Vidi, Vici - complete big box version and also perfect and yes it was just another little round £1 :spin

I could not believe the condition... It's as if they have never been used! Great original classics and all for a total of £3 :cool

An amiga 4000/40 desktop....at last!

Peter 05 May 2009 20:04

Nice One PowerPie5000 - some great items there - BootFairs can come up trumps... sometimes... you have to be prepared to look through a lot of rubbish... once upon a time when the internet didn't exist I got loads of Amiga stuff from BootFairs - it was one of the only places to find second hand Amiga stuff...

DoogUK - Get some pictures up mate - let's have a look at that A4000!!!

PZ.

I always wanted one as a media server/Emulation box to play on my LCD TV!
But I was disappointed by the recent update. Although the video card has 5x as much power as the previous one, I would have liked to seen a CPU boost. What are you using it for, and is it the new Mini?

Nice purchase anyhow!

J.Tramiel 06 May 2009 20:57

What did I buy today?

Hmmm, let me see -

1 A pack of tabs
2 A tenner's worth of petrol
3 A bacon sandwich in the staff canteen at work

(nothing retro or computer related sorry) ;)

Fred the Fop 06 May 2009 20:58

I bought this today:

GP2X Wiz. Can't wait for it to be in stock! I bought it from Play-Asia, probably the best online gaming company for us retrogeeks!
