Hi guys, this time just an info :)

I don't know why (i am too lazy to call my Internet provider) but my upload speed is changed :rolleyes

Now it's really slow again :(

So, i am forced to split the archive in pieces for a better upload operation :o

I apologize for the inconvenient :blased

Regards, chip :p

Hehe, I know you've heard it before but funnily enough that's the same issue people have had downloading them. :blased

Awesome work tho, thanks for putting all this together. :great

A-Z packages maybe?

chip 04 September 2020 17:53

Hi again :)

I don't know if this can be an advantage for people who want to download the collection :rolleyes

Anyway i have no other solution, except to wait for the upload speed to be normal again :agree

chip 09 September 2020 09:29

The collection now contains 16.753 files for a total size of 3,72 GB :)

Exactly the number of files are :

EXE - 13.709
ADF - 2.789
ZIP - 253

That's all guys :p

Less then 100 new ones, and over 3 GB download :crazy:crazy

Viceroy 13 September 2020 14:43

Surely you could put the new ones in a separate zip Chip?

chip 14 September 2020 01:50

Hi Viceroy, how things are going ? :)

Well, adding files is not the only thing .... it is not enough :o

Indeed files are also renamed, moved .... replaced ! :D

So, again, solution should be provide dat files for update the collection :rolleyes

But you already know i am not interested in doing that .... sorry :blased

Viceroy 14 September 2020 18:49

Oh Well!

chip 21 September 2020 15:04

Upload of a new version is in progress :)

The collection now contains 16.965 files for a total size of 3,78 GB :cool

These are the kind of files

EXE - 13.859
ADF - 2.850
ZIP - 254

Enjoy ! :p

Slightly off topic, but strictly tied to ADA anyway

I often do uploads of the collection

So, my upload speed is changing each time i do the upload

In the beginning it was 12 MB / s

Then it's go down to 300 KB / s

Since few days it is raised to 1,4 MB / s

Today it's different again 600 KB / s

It's really weird, it seems a random speed :confused

Do you guys have any idea what can be the reasons behind the different speed ? :blased

I really don't want to call the Internet provider for something like that

Furthermore i actually trust more of the eab members experience :agree

I have the fiber, wi-fi modem, Win 10 and a really new notebook

ma693541 01 October 2020 15:01

It can be the line between Italy and Sweden that can cause the problem.

chip 01 October 2020 15:05

Thanks for reply :)

I surely did nothing to the system

Hardware and software is unchanged from the day i installed the fiber :banghead

ma693541 01 October 2020 15:15

Remember that an Fiber Cable can have it's bottleneck too and data can be sent around multiple nodes instead of following an direct air/eye direction. Try to upload at early morning time.

chip 01 October 2020 15:17

Interesting info .... i will try that for sure :)

rygar 01 October 2020 18:43

Try direct connect to fiber router insteed wi-fi.

chip 01 October 2020 18:45

I don't know if i can do that, since router WI FI is used for other device too

I must check before trying it .... thanks for the suggest :)

DamienD 01 October 2020 18:51

Seems you didn't understand rygar's reply chip.

rygar means connect an Ethernet cable from one of the usually 4 ports on the router to your computer's NIC.

Speeds are much better than Wi-Fi.

chip 01 October 2020 18:54

Probably you are right guys, i will try that, thanks for replies :)

Anyway there's something strange since in the beginning WI-FI upload speed was 12 MB / s

So, i really don't know what happened :banghead

chip 03 October 2020 15:07

Time to return to the collection, so here it is the new statistics :)

ADA now contains 17.151 files for a total size of 3,83 GB :cool

The number of files are

EXE - 13.994
ADF - 2.901
ZIP - 254

As usual .... enjoy :p

Another possibility is to try different WiFi channels. Normally routers use auto, but I have experienced bandwidth problems with auto in the past, too.

So try different fixed WiFi channels and see what happens. WiFi sometimes is really PITA, that's why I still prefer the good old cable.

Another cause for bandwidth slow down can be various Internet security suites. If you use such stuff, try disabling them, too.
