I really don't see the problem here

Everyone is free to not download ADA because of no updates

I already know that someone taken this decision

People are free to do that, obviously

If someone want an archive with updates, he can download TOSEC stuff, for example

I already told this, ADA will not be released with updates, i simply don't like this kind of solution

I am sorry i can't help much more on this

Using other words, ADA is my own collection and i am free to do it as i want :agree

Thank you!

chip 17 August 2020 18:59

My pleasure :)

HOL2001 18 August 2020 08:29

I will give it a weekly look. :)
No need for me to update it daily. ;)

chip 18 August 2020 08:48

Surely HOL2001 ..... simply do as you want ;)

Thanks again for your support :p

chip 18 August 2020 08:58

ZIP - 251

I am glad you enjoy the collection :p

Cheers, but I am not sure I can download it.

I have less than 50 posts so am anonymous on the ftp so it takes me days to download. I finally completed it today but it's corrupt and won't unzip.

The file size matches what's on the server, I think the corruption might be because updates can happen to that one large file while it's being downloaded, and when the ftp client tries to resume you end up with a broken zip file.

I think I just have to make 50 posts to get proper access.

chip 19 August 2020 04:22

Hi again mrprawns :D

The file is not corrupt, i personally test it each time i make the upload :agree

As you already pointed out, you must have 50 posts to get an upload account ;)

With that you can download the collection at the maximum speed :)

Hope this can help :p

Hey MrPrawns,

I will send you a pm with a link to a gdrive zip file in the next few hours.

Problem is, that's a month old Nightshft.

Better than nothing I guess.

That won't make a notable difference by the end of the year when quite a few new updates have been done by chip ;)

Truly nice for you!

What about those, who have not such fast connection?
They still have to download the whole big archive only because of a few added files, so they have a waste of time then.:(

You try talking to trees, i think. Thats less time consuming..:banghead:banghead:banghead

DamienD 24 August 2020 14:56

mai / jarre; you've said it enough times now...

Whilst I agree that updates are always the best way i.e. saves bandwidth / people's time / easy to track changes etc.

...chip isn't going to do this; maybe he doesn't know how or finds it too difficult for some reason, I don't know.

At the end of the day it's his project and he can distribute it how he likes.

You as the end user can then either decide if you will / will not download, due to his decisions.

Nightshft 24 August 2020 15:30

MrPrawns check your PM Inbox. I'll let the upload alive for a while.

chip 31 August 2020 16:30

Just want to update the statistics of ADA :)

If you download the collection, you will get :

16.622 files for a total size of 3,68 GB

To be precise files are :

EXE - 13.610
ADF - 2.758
ZIP - 252

That's all :p

Amiga1992 31 August 2020 17:54

Thank you for this collection, I downloaded it recently.
Don;'t get the complaints this got through in a jiffy.

chip 31 August 2020 18:05

Thank you for your positive feedback :)

HOL2001 01 September 2020 08:53

It's growing and growing! :)

chip 01 September 2020 11:01

Yep, the archive which become bigger each day is something that gives me satisfaction :)

Anyway, more than the final result, it's funny to see the various files which i use to build ADA :agree

In other words, just insert a disk into WinUAE and see what happens ! :D
