Ahh...see you like Privateer :)

One of my few original PC cd-rom games, you running it on a real PC?

Anubis 15 December 2007 01:33

Second part of private was way better, but to run it at proper speed you need no faster computer then 233MHz. (stupid Origin programmers)

Zet0, you forgot to mention Barbie Model that you also play daily. :agree:cheese

Zetr0 15 December 2007 02:36

@Amigaz

Playing it on a REAL DOS Box :D

@Anubis

Running it on my Pentium Pro box but the sound squeeks sometimes, I think my machine is to fast or that I need an older Soundblaster card for it.

What PC model are you using it on?

s2325 15 December 2007 11:34

Tail Gator for Gameboy

Marcuz 15 December 2007 12:40

currently i'm plying nothing... and Shoonay was right, the witcher was crap

Zetr0 15 December 2007 15:02

@AMIGAZ

heys Amigo,

I had the same problem with sound until Merlin fixed me up with a Sound Blaster 16.

Now i have a dos box with (now get this)
  • 1.4Ghz DDR Althon (factory unlocked)
  • 512MB PC2100
  • 32GB SCSI3 HDD
  • 40GB IDE ATA66
  • Toshiba DVD/CDRW
  • 1.44MB FDD
  • ATI Radeon VIVO ( this is before the 7000 series and has FULL VESA support)
  • Sound Blaster 16
  • LAN 10/100

I have it installed with a FULL DOS mode as well as Windows 98 the damn thing is lighting to boot after POST.

I have been lucky so far I have been able to play all the games I have in DOS mode, only one game has given me trouble (Wing Commander Prophecy) its just absolute crap in the cut and movie sceens!!!

I had to use a "cpu slower" for a couple of games

here have a look http://www.geocities.com/kulhain/ (obviously no need no DOSBox)

Marcuz 15 December 2007 18:05

Rayman Raving Rabbits... it's the best game i've played this year :)

I feel ashamed for the entire Polish nation... :blased
Some people say, that Franko... oh, I mean, Painkiller is one of the best polish games, or at least pretty cool! :great

Marcuz 15 December 2007 20:42

it looks cool but i'm more for fluffy rabbits :) however, the witcher... i would say that , like for many games and many recent games, the fault is not strictly of the designers, but mostly for what passes for entertainment in the head of players, so that a game has not a serie of mainstream (whatever that may be) qualities, it could not be a fun game. while maybe, less could be more...

Shoonay 15 December 2007 21:21

Nothing wrong with that, Sir! :)

May I interest you then, in these fine Amiga games called International Ninja Rabbits & Ninja Rabbits ? :D

Marcuz 15 December 2007 22:13

lol not those! you are trying to backstab me with these hairy rodent! they are more evil than doom critters! i prefer raving rabbits still! :)

Marcuz 15 December 2007 22:14

by the way you reminded me that i would like to play again at Wiz 'n' Liz... :)
