This looks great, but it gurus when it starts on my a1200 030. WB3.1 classic WB
Ive tried the command line and gui. It seems to try to open a new screen mode before it crashes. :( |
Hi XRayNorm!
Sorry to read about these visits from the Guru... Could you please run SnoopDos and maybe save the log in a RAD (better not save it on the disk because the Guru could invalidate it), please? I never heard of this problem before so I am suspecting a missing library or a problem with your module player... BTW, could you also try by starting, say, HippoPlayer before AmiModRadio? Thanks! |

Thank you XRayNorm!
Could you try running DeliTracker alone? Does it bring a visit from the Guru? Is it available in the path? Please let me know! |
Thanks for you reply.
DeliTracker works fine on its own. I after adding DeliTracker with the path command, it worked. However it crashed after playing a few seconds of the mod. Snoopdos log below :- http://pastebin.com/BqmwpWw5 |
Hi XRayNorm!
I sent you a PM :) Cheers! |

It doesn't work now. I really don't like at all the interferences of code in the MUI settings. If MUI3 can't handle those settings that the coder wants to get, then the code should detect if you are using MUI3 and make those changes, but not if you use MUI4. To detect if you use MUI3 or MUI4 it is (I just asked Thore): To check for the muimaster.library: Version of muimaster.library. V19.x is MUI 3.8 V20.x is MUI 4.0 in case x >= 5500 and MUI 3.9 otherwise V21.x is MUI 5.0 From code it can be made this way he told me: "Anyway, just use these macros with MUIMasterBase. #define LIBVER(lib) ((struct Library *)lib)->lib_Version #define LIBREV(lib) ((struct Library *)lib)->lib_Revision #define VERSION_IS_AT_LEAST(ver, rev, minver, minrev) (((ver) > (minver)) || ((ver) == (minver) && (rev) == (minrev)) || ((ver) == (minver) && (rev) > (minrev))) #define LIB_VERSION_IS_AT_LEAST(lib, minver, minrev) VERSION_IS_AT_LEAST(((struct Library *)(lib))->lib_Version, ((struct Library *)(lib))->lib_Revision, minver, minrev) |
Ciao Retrofan, I did not understand what you wrote, I created a small video showing the change of Skin, on the main GUI does not use MUI but the backgrounds I fixed that I copy in their respective folders.
WinUAE AfA OS AmiModRadio Skin |
AmigaSystem: In your video you are only using the prefs that AmiModRadio offers. But they aren't -at all- the ones you can have. The real options are the ones that MUI offers, and for that you've got to open the MUI prefs.
If you see, you've got four options: You've got them with a blue pattern on the top-right of the AmiModRadio top bar. If you make a left click and then click MUI settings on the first: the left one, a triangle with a "_" under it of the options, then you can open the real MUI4 prefs. |
They know the MUI preferences, i prefer to use the prefs of AmiModRadio and customize each Skin replacing at my leisure pictures.

PS. I have recently had troubles with my Amigas so development has been slowed down... plus Summer was warm and sunny :)

We confidently await the new version maybe even a AROS version :crying

Hi there!

Ciao tygre, I'm not a programmer but if I can do something or some tests are at your disposal. AROS It does not differ much from Amiga OS,most of the prefs are the same as Amiga OS, the only difference
is that AROS there is MUI in its place is ZUNE. To learn more about ZUNE but also for other things you could ask HERE on aros-exec.org,where there are so many good and programmers available. |
tygre, dear mate, you know that I Really love your program. Now I only want to express my opinion. It isn't just mine, it's also the one of the MUI4 developer. Don't you try to change the way MUI works, let the prefs to belong to the MUI preferences, do not try to change the way they work.
And in my opinion, make it for the MUI4 version. You already may know that your program doesn't work fast, it needs a VERY fast accelerator (I only can use it on WinUAE), so don't insist in the older MUI version. I will keep your old version in my distro as it works nice under emulation using MUI4. The user keeps having control about his preferences just through the MUI ones. Just my two cents and my humble opinion. |
Hello Retrofan what problems encountered, I use the latest version of AmiModRadio even with MUI 5 and not finding any slowdown and everything seems to work fine.
I am attaching a video showing the start of AmiModRadio AfA OS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z01xSDFGvKc |
Lol, that's WinUAE. Of course it works perfect there. Now try to run it with an ACA, it's very slow.
UPS! Mui 5? First notice. Why there isn't any thread or post in this forum yet? Edit: Well, they closed the thread in A-Org two days later after opening it. |
It 'a lot' which came out MUI 5, for those interested find it HERE
