Thanks StingRay, I can see you already assigned the task :)

OK nice to know it's on its way :)

MightAndMagic3_v1.2_2346.zip
->
The .info file points to the old v1.0 slave. A fresh install seems to be needed for this one :)
(I'm only reporting it, Frode found the problem:
<FrodeSolheim> SLAVE=Might&Magic3.slave
<FrodeSolheim> that's the one from 1.0..
<FrodeSolheim> MightandMagic3.slave <- 1.2, no .info file references it..)

Retroplay 20 March 2013 00:21

Fixed. :)

I reinstalled and cleaned up the german version while I was at it too.

TCD 20 March 2013 00:25

Thank you very much :great

Retro-Nerd 24 March 2013 21:18

@Retroplay: Could you please preinstall Jonathan? And Frode said something about Might and Magic III, which is still not correctly installed. :)

Retroplay 24 March 2013 21:35

I'll get right on Jonathan.

What seems to be the problem with M&M3 ?
I tested all versions before upload and didn't find any problems with any of them.

Retro-Nerd 24 March 2013 21:40

From irc:

data/Might&MagicIII is from the old version, and also, docs/Passwörter.txt shouldn't be there.

Retroplay 24 March 2013 22:15

Jonathan has been added, are there more oldies which have been forgotten perhaps ?

I still don't see what the problem is with M&M 3 though, besides an error entry in FS-UAE database (sorry I'm not an FS-UAE user). :)
M&M 3, both english and german version, was installed from scratch. No files from old archives where used.

Retro-Nerd 24 March 2013 22:34

Jonathan isn't in your folder. For MM3: Frode might have confused himself, or not. Wait if he answer here. Frode and TCD got slightly different result with the preinstalled game.

Edit: Now Jonathan is there, wasn't listed via Web FTP access a few minutes ago.

TCD 24 March 2013 22:58

Both Frode and myself get a different checksum for Might&MagicIII in the data folder when using the 'Might & Magic III - Isles of Terra (1992)(New World Computing)[FD-HD][2346]' IPFs and the standard install options :confused Just wondering why more than saying that your install doesn't work :) (and we need to have the same checksum for that file...)

Edit: Just in case you want to check, this is what we get:
Code:

CRC-32: e044cad2
  MD4: 11752a50605dc489250ecf3faea9e842
  MD5: 73c548e9009b1602e4650a8d4ce90dbd
 SHA-1: 582acfcd3c32243c474b5516606a0a66ccb91677

Edit 2: Mystery solved :D

Retroplay 24 March 2013 23:10

Hmm this is weird.
This is what I get, english SPS 2346 version:

Code:

Name:    Might&MagicIII
Size:    272088
CRC32:    b3b21809
MD5:    99580ed31089dfca12123f11405e6b29
SHA1:    9ea6603d2ab6de4ef59bf321e39e96560ac32e71

Still the game boots up and works.

Aha I was right, file is modified on first boot. :D

Indeed :great Thanks for checking again :)

Retroplay 24 March 2013 23:21

Case closed then... for now, I'm quite sure more games with behaviour like this will pop up eventually. :bash

TCD 24 March 2013 23:23

At least we know now it can happen and will try harder next time before annoying you ;)

Btw:
Quote:

<FrodeSolheim> the second byte of the file is changed from byte value 2 to byte value 0.. that's the difference..
<TCD> :D

Retroplay 24 March 2013 23:25

Hehe :D

Oh and btw, please give me a holler if you find more games I forgot to install.
If Jonathan eluded me the first time around there could be others too.

Bamiga2002 25 March 2013 07:44

Thanks for continuous work all WHDLoaders!

Retroplay 05 April 2013 18:04

Retroplay 20 April 2013 15:50

Yes, Thanks to especially CFou, StingRay, Psygore and the rest of the authors I've been quite busy installing lately. :)

In this occasion I'll also like to thank CFou for supplying the spanish images needed for his recent installs. :)

Methanoid 21 April 2013 19:02

Anyone able to advise an easy way to install a big pile of WHDLoad files?
