hi,

it seems Krypton Egg (1990)(HitSoft)[cr QTX][t +2 MAD].adf
crc32: 85d9f8a7

does not only give you unlimited lives and a leveslskipper but also it eats off parts of the graphics on top and bottom of the screen.

see the screenshots. first one is from the +2 trained version and 2nd is from the untrained quartex crack.

You used the disk 2 which is hacked by SR. This explains the text on your screenshot...

Different versions maybe? or maybe there are certain sprites turned off!

Maybe both Disks 1 are really [cr SR].
I have tried to convert IPF to ADF with no success, so i suppose there is physical protection and so Original had to be cracked.:confused

This game is not using any strong copy protection. It simply use MFM tracks, it can be copied with powercopy (there are no protection track, nor copylock).

SR has passed the 2 disks contents from MFM tracks to standard Amiga tracks.

It's a crack since they did a disk format change.

This is what i thought, they changed something to make it copyable by using any Diskcopy tool(in general called crack then)!

dlfrsilver 01 March 2016 22:32

well, the MFM tracks can be copied with a standard drive in first place.

Gem'Z:

All should be renamed to "Super Gem'Z". Here's what's on the game's title screen:

http://i66.tinypic.com/9a8m86.png

Rainbow Islands:

All should be renamed to "Rainbow Islands - The Story of Bubble Bobble 2". The first screen shows:

http://i64.tinypic.com/2r5x0jm.png

...but the second screen clearly shows:

That might be a joke added by the developers much like the "II" in Apidya.

Soccer Kid (1993)(Krisalis)(AGA)(M5)(Disk 1 of 5)(Boot)[cr CLS]

Is this actually cracked? The intro just says:

-*- C L A S S i C -*-
Presents to you on 93-12-01
Soccer Kid AGA from Krisalis

No mention of 'cracked'? My original installs to HD and plays without asking anything from the manual, doesn't appear to have on-disk protection either?

dlfrsilver 31 March 2016 05:13

indeed, it does not have any copy protection on disk. Soccer Kid use a manual protection.
