"Processor Interrupt Level 3"

Hi all!

Hope that you are doing well I just noticed that Enforcer reports recurring "LONG-WRITE" errors from a "Processor Interrupt Level 3" in WinUAE (but not on a Classic) and I am wondering if anyone would know what this "Processor Interrupt Level 3" is? I searched Google and various Amiga boards but all I could find is a discussion related to SCSI. I checked my WinUAE config. and everything is "compatible", no SCSI emulation in "Adv. Chipset", and "SCSI Emulation" is chosen by default in "Miscellaneous".

Any idea?

Take well care!

Needed to check my Crystall ball because you didn't mention any addresses..

Add FSPACE parameter to Enforcer.

Enforcer by default does not like 0xF00000 region write accesses (which is used by UAE boot ROM code, for example directory filesystem handler etc..)

Ooops, my mistake, sorry about that! The first line of Enforcer (without FSPACE) is:

Code:
LONG-WRITE to 00F0FFFC data=00000000 PC: 00F003B2
I will config Enforcer with FSPACE and let you know the differences.
Take care!

Hi there!

I added the "FSPACE" option to Enforcer and it does not report any hit anymore. Could that have something to do with my config. of 32Mo of Z3 RAM, as possibly hinted here? Still, I am curious about this "Processor Interrupt Level 3" thingy, what is it?

Take care!

It only means there is AOS vblank handler (interrupt level 3) that writes to 0xF00000-0xF7FFFF region. This is part of UAE AOS interface that is needed when using uaehf.device, directory filesystems, tablet stuff etc..

Enforcer FSPACE = ignore "F" region.
