Probs with Rebels Mega Demo II

Hi there!

Sorry to report again a problem.
When I start the Rebels Mega Demo II in WinUAE everything works fine until the forth part (Fuzzacs Bobdemo).
Then I get the Guru: 0000000B AAAAAAAA
Same happens in Quikstart mode...

CRC32 missing. It can be image issue. (before someone replies "it works fine here" without listing checksums..)

Demo works fine in WinUAE, I guess your image is broken. Try with this image.

Yes! Your is image works fine! Thanks for that!
My image is crappy...
Is there still a need for CRC32?
If yes, how can I find out the checksum of my crappy image?
Is there a special prog?

Make a zip or rar archive of it. When you open the archive one of the columns shows you the CRC32 of the packed file

There's also a program called "fsum": http://www.slavasoft.com/fsum/
It supports a wide range of hashing algorithms, comes in handy quite often.

Arrow

It is a 2 disks version as dms files.

First disk is called Rebels.Mega2a.dms CRC32 is 51D5052D
Second disk is called Rebels.Mega2b.dms CRC32 is 233DF6D6

It's not a 2 disk version, it's just 2 dms archives for the disk.

No problem. These split DMS archives are quite stupid anyway, I never understood the reason why anyone needed them. I guess that was indeed your problem, I suppose you decrunched each dms archive to a separate disk instead of using the same disk for both dms files.

Yes I think you are right. But as I now own a working version I will delete that crappy version...

Perhaps I could add some kind of automagic split DMS support but I am not sure if it is worth the trouble

I wanted to suggest that actually but then thought "nah, not really important" If it's not too hard to implement it would be a "nice to have" feature though.
