Possible to make a hard-file seem like a CD?

Hi all,

Im trying to install a prog but it needs to run from the CD. however, I have the files on my hard disk in a folder. Is it possible to somehow convince it that the directory is actually a cd at all?

The success or not of this depends on the CD itself

Some CDs only need an assign to make them work - so once the CD is copied to your hardrive - make an assign of the original CD name to that drawer.

If you're lucky it'll work.

If not you'll have a bit more work to do than I can reply to while at work.

I'm actually trying to install Amiga Sys 4 with OS3.9.
