Problems?
No there are no known problems between AMD and Intel based processors in WinFellow, all bugs in the current version exist on both CPU types.
Most "bugs" can be ironed out with a re-write of some core programming (screen, input etc) and with each new release of WinFellow it is getting better - trust me I'm a BETA tester. What specific problem are you having? |

Hi !
In fact my problem has something to do with the sound emulation. I've got a Soundblaster 128 PCI, which is considered as being a very compatible card. When i activate the sound output, it slows down the emulation, there is a latency problem i think. Moreover, the sound "crashes", i mean the quality isn't as good as it should be ... See ya :=) |

Although people say that most sound cards work fine in WinUAE I have to aggree that the SB128 does cause some problems on NEW versions of WinUAE, it works fine in anything under:
WinUAE 0.8.8 Release 7 Tried and tested with Windows 9x, WinUAE often goes strange in Windows ME and above, what version of Windows are you running BTW? |

Have you tried any lower versions of WinUAE?

Hang on, isn't Holicool referring to WinFellow, not WinUAE
?Anyway, I tend to have problems running WinFellow with sound- it only works with a particular set of settings on my SB16. The sound also seems to have 'pops' in it. It was the only emulator that could get Typhoon Thompson working! Unfortunately it crashed when I'd almost finished it- and I've NEVER seen the ending . Maybe it was something to do with the sound?I've heard the bugs are being ironed out anyway. Cheers, |
