UAE, Linux and mice

hello!

i've been wondering - is there any chance I could use my second mouse for UAE only in windowed mode under X? i have been trying the full screen modes but switching modes does not work too good with my gfx board [screen mode doesn't change at all, i still see the same screen, but with mouse limits, and i don't get the "new display" at all].. it would be really great to have it or learn how to enable this, if it is implemented already..

many thanks for response

I don't think it's possible, but at the same time i don't understand why you should want to do this. If you really need to use uae in a window, when the mouse is inside it press F12 together with G to grab the pointer inside the window.

Maybe another thing you should want to try is the program MouseHack ( you should find it in the uae tarball ).

Hope this helps.

And what kinda of gfx card are you using?

Anyway, if you need a quickstart manual fot uae, try this .

Try this link: ATI drivers .

Unfortunatly they are closed source ( closed source drivers will be no more supported when the product becomes old ) , but at least they should be fast and they should work.

I have an ati too ( 7000 ) and is crap enought in terms of support. Next time i'll have to buy a gfx card i'll try to find one that is well supported under linux.

Um.. You may have serious troubles about that ... these companies find it really cool idea to keep sources for themselves. i enjoy watching ati demos on my radeon but.. it really sucks when you cannot flip x to fb console :P. and i don't care really what happens when it gets old . it seems yet to be too new [i lack good drivers for this one ] rotfl .

thanks for Your help!

Cheers!
