What kind of Video Cable does this monitor requier?

Hello All,

I have a chance to buy two monitors for my A600 system:

one 1084S monitor, and one 1084-D2. Unfortunately they only come with power cable, so I guess I have to find the video cables from some other sources.

It has been a long time since I used my A600 (never bought a monitor with it) and wanted to know what type of video cables these two monitors utilize?

If you kindly provide the kind, name, maybe price? and a link to video cables, I would really appreciate it!

It depends on the unit.. The only generic answer I can give you is: use a cable that is compatible with your monitor.

There are three general styles of connector in 1084s depending on age and market area:
- SCART (quite rare)
- 6 pin DIN
- 9 pin D

The pinouts for all these are available on the net if you wish to build your own cable, also suitable cables pop up on ebay/amibay occasionally.

Once you know what connector your monitor has, then you know what cable to get.

All of them also support composite video, but you'd be mad to use composite when you could view the Amiga screen in glorious RGB. The 1084 is quite a nice RGB monitor.
