HowTo: Amiga 500 speedup w/ oscillator

I've been thinking to speed up my Amiga 500 with a new oscillator on the mobo. Is it possible somehow? It has an Amiga A590 with 2Megs of Fast Ram, and 1 mb chipram on board.
I know that Icould sweep through the net for solutions, but first of all I would like to see experiences if it can be done. how the machine performs, fails, and so on. I don't want to build up a nuclear plant from it, just see more frames in games with vector gfx.
So, can it be done?

Thanks for all,

The custom chips need the original osc for their timing. If you change the oscillator then you can expect problems.

Yes, Pinball Fantasies is unplayable without near perfect timing, I'm sure there are more.

It is practically impossible to do (without separating CPU clock from chipset clock, like 14MHz 68000 hacks do)

In theory crystal can be changed and system keeps working, Amiga programs won't see any difference (as long as chips can handle new clock rate) but user surely will

Video timing changes (=signal becomes incompatible with PAL or NTSC), audio pitch changes, floppy timing changes (floppy access stops working), expansion hardware most likely stops working, everything that is connected to "outside world" changes..
