PAL Amiga 2000 Stuck In NTSC

I have a PAL Amiga 2000 (revision 4.1) which seems to be permanently stuck in NTSC mode. The screen frequency appears to be 50hz (PAL) but the bottom 56 lines of the display can not be used.

Using software to swap between 60/50hz does not do anything. I've searched for info about the motherboard jumpers but have had no luck. I seem to remember a way of forcing the ECS AGNUS chip (8372a) into PAL mode permanently by connecting pins but I can't find it.

The situation reminds me of what happened on my old KS1.2 Amiga500. Every now and then it would boot up with the lower 56 screen lines unusable - but a soft reboot would fix it.

I'd appreciate any help/advice on this problem!

system-configuration

Have you still got a system-configuration file in your DEVS directory. If you have, try renaming it so the system cannot find it and see if it alters, if you haven't got one, try copying it from a disk to see if it makes any difference.

Well... it looks like it's the Amiga 2000 PAL version.
Look at: http://www.amiga-hardware.com/agnus.html

I found the solution a while ago. I had to cut a solder trace on the A2000 motherboard to allow it to boot in PAL mode.
From memory it was identified as a "test" solder pad and was located near the Agnus chip.
