Amiga 1200, Cost??

Hiya

What's the going price for a Bog standard Amiga 1200,
no hard disc.

??

£25 to £30????

depends on the condition of the unit, are the keys yellow, does the floppy drive work properly, does it have a power supply etc.

i paid £35 for mine on ebay, in good condition (but not perfect).

as always, it also depends how much you want it.

Hi,
Well on the pic the powser supply look yellow and so the the 'Space Bar' but 'IN THE PIC' looks in quite good nick,

Comes with all work bench disc's and some games.

I paid £20 for a vanilla Amiga 1200 with a few games and a mouse and it's in excellent condition. Even if they look grubby and tired at first it's amazing what you can do with a bit of fairy liquid and a screwdriver.

From what I've read about re-conditioning old computers it's not possible to get rid of the yellowing, but using bleach on the three keys which were a bit yellow on my machine has brought them up almost like new.

You tend to find better deals on Yahoo auctions by the way because it's not as well known as eBay. You might also want to try www.qxl.com although you don't see much Amiga stuff passing through there.
