Cool Amiga Mouse Problems

Hi all

I recently got my amiga 1200 back up and running
but alas the mouse is KIA,
Could anybody tell me if it is possible to get a pc serial mouse
to work in the amiga mouse port ?
Now i realise that you need to do a bit or re wireing on the pc mouse but any information i have found has been confuseing to say the least

I think using a PC mouse by wiring an adapter is rather complex, but I am not sure.
But it might be much easier to fix the Amiga mouse !
Most of the time ( apart from general dirt problems on the rolls where the ball touches ) the buttons are worn out. You can get such switches cheaply from electronic supplies and swap them against the old ones.
