Sorry, but AsimCDFS is still being sold although the development on this product has stopped. You might be lucky to grab a copy on Ebay but anyway, AsimCDFS most likely wonīt work with your IDE Drive (Iīve tried so trust me
) Better get IDEFix or CacheCDFS which got better support for IDE Drives (but both are still commercially sold) or try AmiCDFS, itīs freeware and you can grab it on Aminet

Why shouldn't it work? Because the CD-ROM is IDE? So does AsimCDFS require a SCSI CD-ROM???? I'm confused because I'm using a 40x IDE CD-ROM with Asim and it takes about five minutes to mount, but it works fine after that.

No ! AsimCDFS isnīt JUST scsi, but it got support for more SCSI Drives than IDE Drives ..... I tested 5 IDE CDRoms with Asim and none worked, but all my SCSI Drives work with it ..... IDE support is beta in Asim, thats the point

Ok. That clarifies my problem. Then I must be lucky to get an IDE drive working with it!
![]() Jamie, I used to have Idefix with my old A1200 and I was content with it. Recommended. |
