Scandoubler scanmagic doesn´t work really good

i built in my internal scandoubler from DCE and saw that it doesn´t really work like i hoped so much....

the amiga screen seems to be covered with a red/brown layer all over the whole vga monitor...

maybe there is a resistor or similar out of work...
does anybody could help me...???

i hope you all understood what i mean...

i have also built this thing in my desktop a1200 some weeks ago and it works fine - even though i have the tower version of the dce sm.

i broke my original a1200 with it because i didn´t realize you have to push the chips really hard on the motherboard until you hear a loud click. otherwise that thing hangs really loose. might that be the issue? the mainboard really bends a lot while pushing that thing on.

otherwise you might check the color "warmness"-degree that can be set by the monitor.

mine works fine now (on a new mainboard ;>) - only thing that didn´t work was dynablaster whd in ntsc mode... and vertikal movements of e.g. icons in flicker mode seem a little distorted - but all in all it´s a great thing!

greetings!

/translate mode on

i really didn´t broke the mainboard cause the A1200 still works fine together with my commodore 1084ST

*/translate mode off

i tried to pm this, but your postbox seems to be full:

hi,

to the non germans, don´t know how to use the translate function - don´t feel offended, but it was easier for me to explain it that way.. maybe someone else translates...

Translation ON

Translation OFF

Is this it?

yes i pushed the part for the alice chip so hard on the mainboard that the original circuit broke...

no problem, i bought a new chip carrier and repaired the broken thing...
but the problem still exists...

it would be very helpful if anybody know, what kind of parts are put on the thing which need to be attached on the lisa chip...

maybe i only have to change one of them...

btw: ohh...my postbox is really to full...time to sort the pm´s...

I am really satisfied with my DCE scanmagic.... you must be doing something wrong! Check your monitor cable, if is not OK it can cause the color distortion...
