I'm guessing around 100 though I can't be sure since I never completed it, but I'd think that a number dividable by 100 would be logical (Bubble bobble had 100 and it has a bit of the bubble bobble feel)

Is it convenient that we have 10 fingers, which helped our ancestors count long ago. This gave rise , in the west, to the system that bases counting and decimal on 10. In the maya culture, it was another number, tho.

100 levels indeed , and you get a bonus at every 25 % of game completed (ie stage 25, 50, 75 and 100 )

that was one of the few amiga games I used to play together with my sister.

Post Qwak never ends!

While creating the WHDLoad install for this game I wanted to test that all the levels worked so I added a trainer and sat there skipping levels. After about 80 or 90 levels (I can't remember exactly) you go back to the first background again but there is no actual end sequence - it seems to go forever. I think I went up to about level 140 and then decided my time was better spent on other things!

Still a great little game though!

Yeah, I was going to say that too! (Except the "I made the WHDLoad install" bit cos it's pretty obvious you did it, Codetapper )

Such a shame though that there's no real story to the game, just a simple case of whack the enemies with eggs and collect the fruits, keys and stuff ad infinitum.

I thought the first couple of levels were too easy though. I tried challenging myself by trying to complete as many levels getting Rainbow/Beautiful person or the other bonuses you get for not killing any enemies with eggs. In the later levels the score piles up by doing this. After level 10 I think the bonus is called something else and you get more points.

As for the game being neverending. Bomb jack also recycled the backgrounds, wasn't there an ending to that though?

What's teh problem with unpolluted, pure, aracde action? I don't need a story to enjoy a game of this knid. his ain't Zelda you know :P It's just an all-out arcade fruit'em up feast
