Hooooo Wierd problem with fonts on WB/Dopus

I'm having this strange problem with my A1200 Picasso config...
I have 1000's of fonts in my sys:fonts dir but when i try to change the font prefs the only one that shows up is topaz even though they all show up in a lister & dos... what th.. And I'm not using MCP or anything like that..
Anyway i checked the Fonts: assign and it is fine - I also checked diskfont.library and it seems fine also...wierd. Anyone have any suggestions?

My 1200 picasso config consist of:
Kickstart 3.1
Workbench 3.1
Dopus 5.8 MagII as wb replacement
Using HDF for sys: - not a dir..

Run the FixFonts utility. If you've installed a font caching program, use the FixFonts that comes with it instead of the original one.

Try to delete all #?.font files and then run FixFonts.

If you use TrueType fonts or Intellifonts then reinstall them.
