Did you mean HOL Database (id=1117) - power drive or did you actually mean power HOL Database (id=1116) - drift? I've found people many times confuse the two.

Power drift was a good arcadey game while powerdrive was a bit sluggish on the Amiga compared to the other versions out.

Maybe you got a pirate cart mate. ;D

PowerDrive, the rally game, is poop.

Yeah J-Cart

There were six games released with a J-Cart on the Megadrive

3 being Micro Machines games and coincidentally one being Super Skidmarks.

The six where:

Pete Sampras Tennis
Pete Sampras Tennis 96
Micro Machines 2
Micro Machines 96
Micro Machines Military
Super Skidmarks

The links above have pics of what the J-Cart looks like (sort of)

I actually quite liked powerdrive...on the PC that is. The Amiga version seemed unresponsive and the loading times were not worth it in the end. The PC version was good for a quick game. Never got beyond Italy though, too small roads, kept crashing into the walls and damaging my car.

I found powerdrive to be more fun than Powerdrift.

Very cool., this J-Cart stuff I had never seen this before!

Power Drive sucked both the Miggy version (I only played it twice in the store where I used to "buy" games, they only had the AGA version) and the Mega-Drive one. Never played the PC one.

In the other hand, Power Drift RULES! After Daytona USA, that was probably the game I spent more coins on arcade in my whole life! I just LOVE this game, and if I could buy one arcade machine, I would buy this one (Or a 8 players Daytona USA )

But it's true, the home versions are all pish. The Amiga one isn't very good, the C64 one is crap, the MSX/Spectrum is Horrible. The only one enjoyable is the Amstrad CPC version, but it's still eons away from the arcade version. I have never played the Saturn version, but I was told even this version isn't as good as the arcade one.

Not all Power Drift home conversions are shite. The Sega Saturn one seems to be a pretty damn good one.

The Amstrad CPC is very good too. Like I said, it's eons away from the arcade one, but if you just take it as a CPC game, it's a very good one.

I should hunt the Sega Saturn version. There are so many games I want for the system, but they are so hard to find here in Brazil (Either pirate or original.. I don't care )

pirate or original?

Do you have your saturn modded? (or know the awful swap tricks)?

If so, why not download the games?

Yes, my saturn is modded.

I have never downloaded any ISO, I always think that ISOs will be like 400mbs big. I am on Dial-Up, so dowloading such a big file would take a looong time.

I should forget about my lazyness and do that someday . The thing is I don't know even where to start.
