A1200 Psu
OK. Didn't have a clue where to post this. So i'll just stick it in here.
Right I have an old A1200 030 with two hard drives and a hunk of memory at home, but no PSU. Darn it. And I want to get hold of one to see if it still works. I have a few questions to ask...OK, two questions. 1. Will an A500/A600... PSU work with it? 2. How much should I pay for one? (I'm a poor student) I expect P&P is huge on them? Being great big bricks I think my Dad had the whole thing towered up at some point, well, he was running it off the PSU in a tower, or something. But thats now on the scrap heap (damn mother). And Dad doesn't seem willing to try and power it from the tower again. sorry for being so retarded... Cheers |

A500/1200/600 will work but don't expect a 'light' version to last long, best thing to do is try to get a plug and lead from a knakered one and wire into an old AT type PC PSU.
an old lead and plug souldn't cost you more than postage, unless you get it from a tight bugger, an old AT PSU you can probably get for under a fiver from a computer fair, there's usually at least one a month round the 'pool... Don't forget car boots, local free ads etc... |
