Nice article in Salon

Salon (yeah, I know, it's a hit-and-miss affair chez Salon) has posted a nice retro-article on the creator of M.U.L.E.

Good stuff.

Dani Bunten, how we would need such people today.

Her final game Global Conquest (networked wargame) is currently being redone for w*ndows.

MULE - no comment necessary. There's an interesting Amiga game called "Subtrade" which is a good reproduction adding a fifth resource (but I'll stay hooked on C64 MULE forever I think)

World of Mule (too tired to put up the link) speaks of freeware clones where netplay is being considered. Could be interesting.

On the other hand, would a game like this be possible under a browser (flash, or whatever)? If so, it would be worth considering as a project

M.U.L.E. was awesome, I loved that game. Thanx for the Salon link. I never knew that MULES author got a sex change.
