Limit file size directory

I found some games installers that doesn't detect valid HardDisk directory, but i resolved using this function.
This problem with some games using dir like Hardrive it is an installer problems or some bug in WinUAE?

I'd like also to know if i can freely change this limit to, such as, 250 MB forcing in command line:

This is very common problem because most programs calculate size using 32-bit signed variables which will overflow if free space is more than 2G. (0 to 2G: all fine, 2G to 4G: usually negative size, 4G to 6G: 0 to 2G free size and so on..)

Nothing to do with emulation except directory harddrive generally is very large.

You won't gain anything by using smaller size.
