"Unimplemented CPU/FPU emu"

What are the two entries in the .uae files I need to uncheck both of these, please? Most of the time they're greyed out in WinUAE.

I've been told that these two boxes being checked are the reasons I'm having to install 68060 libraries for use with that processor, and causing me to get a guru when I don't install such libraries.

If I select "68060" for the CPU then the "Unimplemented CPU emu" becomes active and can be ticked / unticked.

Under FPU if you have "None" selected then the "Unimplemented CPU emu" will be greyed out. It only become active if you select "68881" or "68882".

Only if JIT is unticked, and if it's reticked then again, the other box is reticked.

Not under 68060 - it only offers me something called "CPU internal".

I forgot to mention, I found the entries needed to change:

fpu_no_unimplemented=false
cpu_no_unimplemented=false

But whether editing the .uae or going straight to the Shell, I cannot change these settings. They seem to be locked.

Ticked = unimplemented instructions are emulated. You want them ticked if you don't want to bother with libraries (but you still need the library for setting "68040/060 FPU is fully working" flag)

I've been using these libraries for 68040/68060 support, and they work fine:
http://phase5.a1k.org/index.php?driverslibraries

In fact, I and Locutus over at Support.Apps had a bit of a discussion about it, whether I should be using them at all, but I didn't want to go as far as MMULibs:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=85908

As I said, all my Unimplemented CPU/FPU boxes in all my configurations are ticked (even if greyed out in almost all of them) and the libraries work fine.

I was just seeing if I could go ahead without the libraries, but I didn't really think so.

Helpful advice as ever, Toni!

http://aminet.net/package/util/sys/Make060 and 68020 + FPU is another solution. (But it only works if program does not use any new 68040+ instructions, which is usually quite rare)

I forgot that you also need libraries with 68040+ because 68040/060 FPU is slightly different. AmigaOS only have ROM built-in 6888x support.
