Has anyone ever finished Ninja Warriors ?

Just curious to know, did anyone ever finish Ninja Warriors ? ( without trainer, ofcoz ! )
I think I am a rather cool player, but even after starting from the beginning the 3rd time I cannot get further than level 2 !! How are you supposed to go far in this game when energy is never replenished and you have only one life ?
I think it's a shit-game, right ? Anyone parts this opinion ?

The soundtrack to that game is, bar-none, my all-time favorite.

But no, I never made it all that far without a trainer, either.

Nearly finished it with the arcade version but mame crashed in the last level GRRRRR..

It's an unbalanced game, I never managed to kill the guy with the mace/morning star thingy without dying yet levels are quite easy. Original game wors with 3 monitors, I remember playing it in arcades back then and I like taito games.
