How much is Amiga worth in your countries ?

I bought mine for a lousy 40 euros here in Finland.

I got

- Amiga
- 512 extra memorymodule
- 140 diskettes
- tv-modulator
- 5 joysticks

What do you think. I bet some of you have paid more, some even less.

It depends. I bought A500s in various conditions for. 15$, 3$, 90cents and some others in batches (along with other various hardware.) I paid that amount for my last A1200 here.

A modulator, one mice and one joystick and a psu MUST be included anyway.

140 disks are a plus. Joysticks are between 10 cents and a dollar here. I've found some NEW quickshot and competition pro ones for 3-5 dollars though didn't buy them.

Yup it really depends....

I paid 175 dollars for my A1200 with an 030 accel @ 50Mhz, 32MB of Fast, 1GB HD and shitloads of other goodies.. All in almost new condition.

I think that's a pretty nice price, even more having in mind teh condition of all this stuff...

In the UK Amiga's are practically worthless!

I've said this before, but what the hell:

They're literally growing off trees over here, or er, falling from the skies! In fact they're so common people are putting them in bloody sheds because they're a nuisance! Itís a disgrace!

Mick_AKA and CodyJarrett are prime examples of how Amiga's are cruelly treated in the UK. No wonder the poor world can't get hold of A1200's and other Amiga's - people are keeping hundreds locked away in their garden sheds and attics! Shame on you!

Stories of people throwing away A4000's is not uncommon and A500's getting the bullet happens on a weekly basis.

Correction - the Amigas and game boxes are in a shed in France.

And this is the shed!

Hooooo Wow...

Hidden away in the deep jungle's of France... Great explorer's spend countless years searching for the lost Amiga tomb full of wonderous treasure and riches.

Once the great door is opened you are confronted with the most incredible sight. The legendry, almost mythical... Hall of Light!

Amigan's will make the trip there at least once in their lifetime. It will be like going to Lourdes in France except it will be harder to find.

I got my 500, 500+, and 2000 for free.

All from people who wanted to get rid of them.

There's an A1200 on ebay at the moment - Amigas might not be priceless, but the guy's sales pitch is! He constantly refers to the A1200 as being "very scarce", a "hard Amiga to find" and kindly points out that it "isn't made any more". And, AND, if the bid goes above £49.99 he'll even throw in a "free American comic"! CAN YOU CONTAIN YOUR EXCITEMENT!

Anyway, if anyone here feels like bidding, or just checking it out to see if this guy's for real , the auction can be found here. Try not to pay silly money for this "rarity".

And to think, I was GIVEN a A1200 recently, complete with hard drive, extra mem, Blizzard card, CD drive and Phillips colour monitor (plus loads of boxed games, joystick, mouse etc.). And the guy who gave it to me had it stored...yep, you guessed it, in his attic. His apathy is my gain Maybe I should give Antiques Hunt a call...

Pack up a few dozen A1200's and bring them to the USA for sale on EBAY (minus that 240VAC power supply), it will probably pay for your vacation and expenses. Bring some GVP scsi addons for the A500 if you need some money for the lap dances at the local tittie bars.

So you took the picture with your left hand and had the pliers on the cats balls with the right hand?

It's kinda expensive in Greece I am afraid. It should be 50-60 EUR for a A500 and about 100-120 for an A1200. There was a guy recently who was selling an A4000D/PPC, 64 MB, CyberVision, etc for 1200 Euros!!!! Ridiculous. It was not in good either!!!!

I think Greece has always been as expensive as Finland. Food is cheaper, everything else is the same oif not even more expensive...

where is this world going to....

Its like gasoline, in Finland we have cheaper gasoline than Turkey, while still the salaries are maybe 4 or 5 times bigger...

I have come to this conclusion about finland:

Finland sucks major donkey balls!

Because everything else which deviates from the most basic A500+memory expansion setups is expensive as hell in here
