Just a nice-to-have of course - the simulator alone was a welcome surprise.
Hi Clebin,

Thanks a lot for your support!

The slight difference you can see between the case & keycaps colors on the simulator is normal and on purpose.

Like on the KS page, keycaps sets are ONE tone up, in the PANTONE chart, relative to their case color.

This for the keyboard to have more personality.

You can have a look on the Regular Case Galery:
https://www.a1200.net/cases-gallery

Or also a closer look on KS Color Chart:
KS Color Chart

Thanks for you support guys, we need you!

Cheers

Ah, that explains it - thanks Phil! Now I know it's deliberate I think it works really well. I wonder how the Rubine Red would look if the keys had the same pinkish hue as the case, but as I didn't pledge for a red case my opinion doesn't really count!

BTW, I think a grey & white combo looks great on the simulator to subtly modernise a classic white machine. The brownish tint to the special keys makes sense on the earlier beige Amigas, but against the white A1200 I think the straight grey looks very stylish.

Good luck with the rest of the campaign!

@Phil these "free to choose colors".. I still assume the exact Special Edition key colors are "locked" and not choosable?

@eXeler0,
Correct

The only thing you could do is to pledge for a SE and add €49 on top of your pledge for an addition SINGLE Keycaps set.

Then you have until mid/end January to carefully think about what colour you want to chose for your SINGLE set.

All of this so to let you swap some of your SINGLE set keycaps with your SE set for 2 uber stylish fullsets

Hi Akira,

Just to keep you informed, the CD32 Themed New Amiga 1200 case, is an Exclusivity.

Only backers from the keycaps campaign can get one after they've chosen for CD32 Keycaps layout set after the campaign is finished.

So if you're interested to get a CD32 Themed New Amiga 1200 case, you actually need to support the KS Keycaps campaign for at least a SINGLE (1x) Keycaps set.

The CD32 Keycaps Sets & SE CD32 Cases are in Exclusivity to the Keycaps campaign as a special reward to backers supporting the campaign

Thanks for your support Akira,

Cheers,
Phil

Oh, I'm not interested in that particular case color, I meant the cases you have shown on the videos looked great, and hope you sell them individually after you cleared your kickstarter orders. I really want a transparent one!

I will probably for sure back the keycaps campaign

Dear Backers and Amigans,

Let me share with you our latest update available on case campaign update page.

Latest update on Cases Shipping and Keycaps campaign:
► Cases packing are in progress.
-> You can follow both your case(s) Packing & Shipping Statuses within the Reward Management Interface. (RMI)

► Sadly we're suffering from STRIKES currently ongoing in UK (Packing & shipping is made from UK)

► Even shipping is delayed because of the STRIKES, we still managed to ship some parcels through earlier this week.. so some of you might receive their cases between now and new year eve.

A1200.NET
Team and our Manufacturer are really sorry about these events.
Sadly there isn't much we can do about these, and of course we're continue packing parcels until we can ship them out.

A NEW Photo Album of Case campaign Bonuses for our awesome backers has been posted on A1200.NET Facebook page.

And last but not the least:
The GHOST Edition Keycaps has been added to the Amiga Keycaps Kickstarter campaign

- Please bear the STRIKES with us and if you haven't done yet:
--> Do not forget to support the Keycaps campaign.

Many thank to all of you for your patience, and should you have ANY question do not hesitate to message either here in comments or directly through our FB page or website.

Cheers,
Phil

It's with great pleasure and excitement to announce A1200.net's Kickstarter campaign for the Amiga keycaps is now a Kickstarter success! What that means is after the very successful crowd funding campaign for the latest Amiga cases also by A1200.net, which gave you a choice of wicked case colours such the special perks by Scoopex and Skidrow, you'll now be able to make the case complete with a brand new set of coloured keycaps!

Wouldnt hold my breath for *yet another* Amiga case kickstarter ;-)
But A1200.net lists 2 more projects as "coming soon" so theres something else being planned apart from the new keyboards.

I certainly hope one of the upcoming projects is the creation of all-new keyboards to be used with the keycaps.

It probably is.. Though, as a small volume product, I fear they could end up very expensive.
Ever taken apart an Amiga keyboard? When you start to look at every small detail, you realize its a quite complex thing to manufacture and assemble.
Unless they can get a really good deal with some company that already manufactures keyboards they might end up "too expensive" for what they bring to the table, considering that most current keyboards actually work just fine and with the new keycaps will look like new.

Anyway, thats why Kickstarter is a good thing. If the idea doesn't "fly", you find out pretty soon.

Yeah, new keyboards from scratch isn't going to be cheap...

There's what, four or five different keyboard types for the amiga?

A600
A500
A1200
A3/4000
A1500/2000 (CDTV?)

Not sure if the A1000 is the same as the A2000 type or not off the top of my head? (Connections etc)
