Backed as well for 8 key sets plus some special edition sets to match some cases I backed previously
Very excited but definitely need the stretch to the French layout or all my sets will go straight to Amibay!!

Thank you very much Prowler and sorry for the trouble.
I was looking for a way to do that with my announcement on top.

The SE Colors were chosen by our partners to suits their previous SE A1200 Cases.
And all SE's purpose are here to help this campaign to reach the goal.
The same purpose SE Cases had on the Case campaign.

Please understand that we had to find ways to give something "special" to backers accepting to support the campaign on a higher premium tier.

That is an excellent suggestion idrougge, thank you.
We'll add this together in first stretch goal.

@ALL,

Thank you all for your support guys as well as for your helpful suggestions.
KS page are currently being updated for better visibility regarding the currency issue.

We had no choice but to be on SGD as this is KS rules.
Currency has to be from country of PM.

Cheers

Exactly this @idrougge :-)
Forget the original Commodore colors and the special editions for a minute.
Go to the color simulator and pick some of the other available "standard" colors like blue, red, white.. whatever.. And you'll se they are all the same colors.. Including F-keys etc..
I was just saying I was expecting a slight difference in tint. For e.g. the white key set would have light grey F-keys and so on...
By now I'm guessing that this is what you get as an extra bonus when you order the SE sets.
I can live with that though.. ;-)

@Phil forgive me if this is already answered somewhere but just a quick question.
If a certain stretch-goal for an additional language is reached, does this include the Special Edition key-sets?

@eXeler,

Yes of course all sets are available in any unlocked Layouts

@ALL,

- Campaign page has been updated.
For all SE keycaps set you can now request for your space bar to have NO MARKING at all.

- Overall layout is a bit better regarding currencies. We can't do better i guess. KS rules forbid to use another currency not from the country you live in.
- A new Regular Color Chart is now available in the "COLORS AVAILABILITY" section.
- A new keyboard layout is available: IT - ITALIAN

Cheers

@phil thanx for clearing that up,
now a small bug-report for the color simulator; If you choose translucent keys (+ any colored case) it screws things up. Case is shown as translucent, and as long as translucent keys are selected, no other case color will show correctly.
+there seems to be a problem with Phenomena keys showing

It's a shame we can't mix and match colors for normal keys and function keys. It's making it hard to decide what color to get.

If I was better ff, I'd get two colors and mix and match myself, but that will also mean I have a keyboard I like and one I don't :P

In any case, big ups for making this happen! I hope I can muster some cash before the campaign ends so I can collaborate, I could really use some new caps.

Another random question: possibility of different font on the keyboard? The original Amiga keyboard font is a bit shit.

Hi Guys,

Well frankly i'm not sure about this as most Amigans would want replica keycaps sets.

Of course we could always have a poll later in production process, before printing the keys so that everyone can voice their opinion.

What do you think?

Cheers

The thing with Comic Sans is that it seems cool at first but you quickly get really annoyed by it.

I'd prefer just the original font unless it would be easy to offer several choices without increasing the price. Being able to choose different combinations of regular/function key colors would probably be something more people would want though instead of being stuck with the few combinations we have now.

I backed this - really looking forward to my se set! I missed the cases before so have to wait until some stores get some plain coloured stock or spray one myself, but that's ok.

It IS very expensive for keycaps and I had quite a time explaining to my wife why I needed this But the money isn't just "purchasing keycaps", we are funding the setup to create new keycaps moulds and receiving a set as a reward. Once the moulds are created they can keep manufacturing a previously limited item and it happy days for future fans who crack a key or whatever because we won't be relying on salvage anymore. This is also good for the longevity of Amiga in the world, right? So its sowing a little money into the scene that I love.

That was my excuse anyway! XD

I'm really sensitive about fonts; I can tell even an Amiga Technologies keyboard from a Commodore keyboard. I wonder how close these new keycaps will get.

I vote for a perfect recreation of the original A1200 typography.
if reasonable, a stretch-goal could include a different font which the backers could vote on in a poll..

I am sensitive too, this is why I despise the Amiga keyboard font :P
You probably would hate my keyboard! I changed all caps.

Thank you very much for your support Sephnroth!

This isn't an excuse Sephnroth
What you said is EXACTLY what it is, and it's the truth.

None of are actually buying keycaps.
You help us manufacturing new & necessary tools to produce Amiga keycaps.

Then you get Keycaps as a reward for your help

Of course there is keycaps sets more expensive than others and these Special Edition sets are meant for Amigans understanding that we need funds to make this happen and willing to help us a bit more.
Of course by doing that we offering some more exclusive keycaps sets.

Guys do not forget:
LIVE STREAM this afternoon 5PM on Kickstarter

We should have only ENGLISH & FRENCH support but is IRETROVOLVER joins us we'll have DEUTSCH as well

Phil
