I did not understand what you wrote, or porting these games are distributed by their authors type Bszili, Serk118 or Yannickescu and others.

He's talking about this operating system, which is a hybrid of AROS and Linux. And to answer the original question I can only assume that they would run fine under Aeros.

Oh, and the original reason I am posting to this thread. Surely it is as interesting as it is informative, but wouldn't it be more appropriately placed in under the "Amiga Scene" or "Retrogaming General Discussion" forum sections. "support.Games" is the section of EAB where people who are experiencing technical difficulties with Amiga games request help.

If a moderator could please move this thread it would be very much appreciated.

You are not well informed, the link you showed is "AEROS" that is not AROS, are two very different things:

- AEROS: LINUX AROS hosted
In screenshots I used my Distro AROS (IcarOS, and AspireOS) that is another thing, that they have nothing to do with LINUX,
even the GRUB boot is native AROS

IcarOS (
only AROS Full Amiga OS3 Based)

AspireOS (only AROS Full Amiga OS3 Based)
[ Show youtube player ]

Aros Broadway (only AROS Full Amiga OS3 Based)

If not enough there is also AROS 68k which can be installed on a Amiga Real or WinUAE, where you can use Standard Applications and Amiga games

How am I not well informed? happymondays mentioned Aeros, you said you didn't understand, so I posted a link to the OS happymondays mentioned.

I am well aware that AROS is not Linux. But I still see no reason why these games will not run under Aeros.

The R3.5-ISO is an 4in1 OS. You get access to Linux, AROS x86, AROSm68k and WIndows apps out of the Box

I did not understand what you wrote, the games you see in the screenshot I executed them "NATIVELY" on AROS, including those 3D Games because I have a Video Card "NVIDIA" supported by AROS

Aeros is native AROS. It's just also native Linux. Functionally there's no difference.

There is one difference: HostGL must be working properly to pass OpenGL/Mesa control on to the Linux host and its drivers. Otherwise you'll have to use unhosted AROS and its Gallium drivers with supported graphics card to do the same graphics acceleration.

And that's what I use, I do not like Linux, use only native AROS

This section of EAB is for people who are experiencing technical an gameplay issues with games. This thread has nothing to do with such problems. This thread really belongs in one of the main forum sections.

Once I ran Doom 3 for Aros, working slowly but it is through this that tested Aros on VMWare.
