Long files are truncated in WinUAE

I have a folder on my PC with .lha archived games (around 4gb of them) which I would like to unarchive in Winaue. So I am adding the folder with games as a hard drive in Winuae. The problem is that the games with long filenames are having their names truncated, so I cannot extract them via DOpus. Any idea how to solve this issue please? Thank you!

WinUAE does not truncate them (default max is 107 characters), unless config file forces to use smaller max size.

It probably is dopus option (or too old version).

Hi Toni, Dopus is version 4.16. Where can I check in the config file if I have a setting that forces smaller max size? Thanks!

Add a line to your S:startup-sequence above LoadWB:

WbCtrl MNL=107

In DOpus4 configuration:

Operation -> List Format -> Displayed Lenghts -> FileName

Thanks PeterK will do that. I presume I have to remove that again for use on real Amiga?

This is OS3.5+ (or for people that have pinched the newer workbench.library and still pretend to be using 3.1 ) only and requires the WBCtrl program to be installed.

Or alternatively WBNameLength

I think 102 should be used instead of 107 to allow for a .info to be added...

Not if you are using SFS or PFS with long filenames activated...

I found the issue. DOpus was truncating the long file names. Copying manually with shell files are ok
