An EAB Game

It seems a lot of the members here are quite skilled in either coding, graphics or music so why not put all these skills together and create an Amiga game by EAB for EAB?
It could be anything from a humorous EABized Pacman (RCKman featuring the TwistinGhosts maybe) to something more complicated. It would be something to contribute to the Amiga community and would be fun IMO.

I would like an EAB game but I'm not good enough at coding in anything but Java to actually be able to contribute.

Yes I like this idea

I dont think I can help as I am not very skilled in graphics (you seen by my, as Frederica says, demented art work ) or music (well you heard how bad those 3 mod files I made were ) and know nothing about coding (except some basic html does that count?)

It doesnt matter how unskilled we are, it would just be a bit of fun with no pressure or time limit and its just something that us EAB guys (and girl) could put together as a permanent contribution to the Amiga community. Im sure even those with no notable skills whatsoever could contribte something, even if only ideas.

So we could have Fred based games such as Fredericas butchering room?
Ermmm...Pin the tale on buttock the cuttock? Errr maybe not.

Shumps, STUCK (is it called?) game were the Green Amiga Alien space ship shoots at AtariSTs, PCs, Windows flags etc. to keep EAB safe. One of the bosses could be Bill Gates head.

"A North Carolinian Amigan Rock Star Ate My Chia Pet"

Starring The Twisting Ghost.

The plot: Twist plays a rock auditorium and the place is held captive by a midget rock star, whose faced is covered in a phantom of the opera mask. Paul Williams sues EAB, and RCK is forced to change this into yet another Paul Williams tribute forum.

I think we could do a shmup with all our favourite EAB'ers as selectable characters!

We good have the likes of Superfag, Dogflesh etc.. as enemies along with the ST's, Megadrives etc..

A marvellous idea folks! If i have the time I would love to contribute to this!

But what type of game would it be? I proffer three ideas :

The EAB Story
Rescue your fellow EAB members in this cutesy wutesy platformer from the vile clutches of the vile G******h who has RCK imprisoned in his evil lair for creating a better forum than his!!

EAB Kombat
Pit your fighting wits against the other EAB members in this no holds barred beat em up. Make your way through a series of bloody fights to the death as part of a brutal tournament organised by the sinister G******h. Despatch his mutunt henchmen, MarzAttackz and Superfrog in order to face the final showdown which will decide the fate of Amiga forums forever!

and my personal favourite:

Sim EAB
Yes! Now you can become RCK and maintain the best Amiga forum on the planet! You must manage all the duties that keep EAB going, prevent hardware failures in the server, moderate Fred from freaking out all the members, boot out trollers and flamers like MarzAttackz and Superfrog and keep your forum members happy, all whilst keeping an eye on the bandwidth usage and potential hacks from rival forums owners (ie G******h) who are desperate to unseat you and steal your members!

Some of you might have noticed a recurring theme in my ideas...

LOL!

Anyway there is no vote option for me to choose from; I would enjoy an EAB game, but could not participate in the making. I don't have any amiga-related skills... I know how to use a tracker, but that's not enough to make a good tune, is it?

i demo would be a better project to work on first, mainly to see if a game (a much longer project) could work

i think we should stick to an easy to learn development tool, such as Amos, this will allow more people to get involved...

the demo/game, must work on a real A1200 (standard set-up), making for emulation only is crap!!!

how about a game based on jacking cars, kinda like gta3, but 2d (not as complex as gta1), supercars 2 in style...

the crime bosses etc could be members of EAB!!!

A total rip-off idea, this one. I remember ages ago I think Akira did a thread featuring Cannon Fodder ,with the CF background & redoing the sprites into EAB members,(A sort of "guess who" type thread). THAT would make for a great data disk. Although Fred can star as the "Predator" secretly lurking in the jungle bumping each of the EAB team off!

Floppy disk

My suggestion: it should be a basic platformer, yet very playable and fun to use... with nice, simple graphics, cool monsters and everything else a platformer needs.
The character would jump on the baddies to kill them, get stars or whatever to gain points and extra lives, etc etc... Let us stick to the classics!
