Will this jeopardize the release of the imminent DotC and Wings re-issues?

Can't see how it wouldn't at least delay them even more

This kind of thing is never good for retro scene... at least never was...

Cinemaware was one of rare companies that offered ADFs on their web site.

no it is propably not... as I understand the explanation on a1k "Cinemaware-Retro" will continue like before, the other company only acquired the right to make new games/experiences based on the old brands. So the text was a little overdoing there.

I think they also mentioned VR, I assume meaning Virtual Reality. That is what they propably call new experiences. The retro projects are not affected by that. Apps are very propable anyway, today you can run modern games on smartphones too.

Fortunately I don't own nor want a 'smartphone' and have less than zero interest in the hype that is 'Virtual Rubbish"

I'm a bit more optimistic I actually believe that there might be a bit of arcade-like market for VR since the home experience is still very expensive.

Found a bit more information about Starbreeze VR-project; http://www.starvr.com/
