Anyone here owns a Fujitsu FM Towns Marty?

Pretty sure this is a long shot, but hey, gotta try...
I recently acquired a "Car Marty" which is a quite rare console as you may know.
I got it relatively cheap, and the reason for that was that there were no cables included (and function not guaranteed, so yea, a gamble).

Now, I wonder if there are any ppl here with knowledge of the video/autput output of the Car Marty.

Seems to be a proprietary 22 pin connector of some kind.

I know that there was a kit released called ACD1, but its so rare, ppl made their own cables to hook it up to a normal TV.
(Power should be easy enough, 12V)

Anyway, any info that would point me in the right direction is appreciated. Thanx

I don't have a FM Town Marty but have a collector friend who has everything FM Towns / Marty related.

I could always ask him your question if you like (though haven't spoken to him in a few years now)?

I do however have loads and loads of rare Marty games

@DamienD that sounds great. Any help is appreciated. It would be a shame not to try to get this rare console up n running :-)
If I find the cables to hook it up I have one game (Afterburner) to test it with.
If your friend happens to have spare controllers etc for sale, maybe we could talk :-)

Ooops; so sorry man... Got snowed under with stuff and then forgot about this. Thanks for the gentle reminder.

As mentioned, I haven't spoken to him in years... I'll drop him an e-mail tomorrow, hopefully I'll get a response and let you know

Thanx man, appreciate it.
Meanwhile, I found this PDF some French guy put a lot of hours into explaining how to hook up a Car Marty at home without the original cables, but the mysterious multi-connector at the back seems to be nearly impossible to find. So that particular cable / connector is the biggest obstacle atm. Any help on that would be really cool.

When my collector friend & myself were looking for / purchasing rare FM Towns stuff; to the place to search is Yahoo Japan Auctions.

For example here is a page showing search results for "Car Marty" stuff (though these are closed auctions):

Also a Japanese eBay shop called "Dream-Star-Japans" was very good but from a quick Google search the original URL has stopped working: http://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct...ZNbjUJoytnJ6pQ

Luckily I just came across this: http://www.bordersdown.net/threads/9...s-Japan-folded

...which takes you to this: http://feedback.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayIS...c=1&rmvSB=true

You can select "View items for sale" and also contact the guys there who are very helpful

Oh, and here's a very outdated listed (from 2009) of stuff that I have in terms of games / applications etc...

I probably have another 250+ items now so really need to find time to update everything...

If you want anything just let me know
