4th & Inches- budget review discrepancies

When Amiga Action reviewed the reissue, they gave it 87% but did note that "although the game is supposedly A1200 compatible we did notice some minor graphical glitches, though nothing too serious", whereas Amiga Power gave it 3% and noted that "the A1200 produces some sort of flickering block over the players", also noting "no matter what computer I played it on, it stopped working and froze up after the second play".

Having read the AP review at the time (and being no great American Football fan) I never sought the game out, but out of curiousity downloaded it recently. I've tried three versions (the Quartex crack, the WOW crack and an unmarked one). The WOW version failed to load (appears to need 1.2 or lower) have shown any obvious graphical glitches, let alone crashing after 2 plays. Did the playcalling system confuse reviewer Tim Tucker (Dragon Ninja Mark II perhaps?) or did they get a dud copy?
