No, don't worry, a USB port is fine and makes sense since it saves having to use one of those USB-PS/2 adaptors that aren't supplied with mice any more. It's just a matter of being more clear with the description since there's a very real risk of unwary people being misled. There are other products out there that only support PS/2 mice with a USB socket, and they're always very clear about the protocol required so it hasn't been an issue. For example and here.

I'm sure it's a good product and a good price and I wish you luck with it, and I hope this hasn't put you off further development for the platform.

You're right, we should be more clear about it but after all this fuzz i guess is clear now. For that i apologize to everybody who were mislead by the initial description.

Just a little update, just tested with two mice playing lemmings and it works great.

I think you'll find the plural of mouse is mice.

Well I just received my 2 adapters today and I must say that these are a fantastic bit of kit, professionally packed in sealed antistatic sleeves and they even come with a proper instruction manual/leaflet.

I have got to say that I am truly impressed both with the actual item and the communication's that we have had, its a great shame that persons or person unnamed had to try to sour this venture though.

Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing what else you decide to build next

"The online Oxford Dictionaries entry for mouse states the plural for the small rodent is mice, while the plural for the small computer connected device is either mice or mouses."

The original q arose from the fact that one may use a wide serial db9 connector together with this adaptor (as i did to have a long cable with 2nd firebutton support on my CP5000 joysticks). So it's not just about rodent families

Thanks Allen. This is the proof that we can give a nice, high quality finished product for a low price
Glad you liked it.

Another update.
We've been working closely with the Italian Olivetti fans and we just managed to make this adapter work on an Olivetti PC1. There's just a few tweaks that have to be done to the driver for it to work 100% under ms-dos
We'll keep you guys updated.

I guess we are all fucked... the way things are going there will be not much left of an European union.
I hope that because of all this blood sucking capitalists we won't see a war again.
This looks like the story written over the same lines, the past world wars were because economics and interests of a few and in the end the common people are the ones who suffered.
I understand why the british left, i hope they continue to contribute to the stability of the EU in other ways. Will see what the future will bring to all of us.

Sorry for the outburst
