Shame??

Shame would be if WinUAE followed the fate of Fellow and many other emulators that have NONE development.

Shame is that nobody else picked up to do documentation, but main reason is - it is not fun to do it, same reason I don't blame Toni not to want to deal with it...

He always answered any of our questions, no matter how stupid and repetitive they are, but I remember he mentioning documentation writing not to be his meaning of fun...

How in the world new users would benefit knowing everything about emulator? (That help file contained most of answers anyway)

How about, people post questions, those of us that can answer them do and keep the forum fun at the same time. The valid point is that there isn't a full doc, Toni has offered brief answers but has ALWAYS said he does not do full docs as is his right (the emulation is project enough).

Sparse file is mostly useless since dynamic (vhd) was added.

I tested it yesterday, it does not seems to work on Win10 64bit.

Only difference should be that sparse would get smaller if you delete files off hd, where dynamic one should not shrink, just grow.

With dynamic one working fine, you could remove it?

Happy Documetation

I currently write the CHM Winuae hellp file but the information available on the options is non-existant so I have to try the option out to find out what it does (if anything obvious) and guess.

The best person to ask is Toni as he wrote Winuae and knows what everything does. Just that he doesn't tell anyone except a brief note in the change log and readme files.

The users of EAB should be able to help out more.
BTW, if you do want more information in CHM file, I could do with some help...
Send me some private messages on what you need or what you know and can make the docs more useful..
