And, that's with a CPU running at 14MHz!!!! That's the difference a good OS makes, and OS4 is built to give the same advantages with modern additions.
Did you compare the same screen res and color depth? Probably not. The results would be way different. The Amiga can't move forward if users are clinging to old misstatements about system performance. Amiga will never be taken seriously again.

AGA only 1200s can never open windows and display the contents fast enough on something better than 32 colors :/

On the other hand, my 040/PPC/Bvision setup does work faster than my 800mhz Athlon, in terms of "window performance"

Well, then tell me where to buy it. I'm not talking about AOne's for developers!

I can honestly say I've never experienced any such performance lag even with ISA bus cards running Windows. There's also more to Window's "windows". than Amiga OS "windows", but even then I still haven't seen this kinda lag before.
Even back when I started using Windows on 386 and 486 systems the user experience was always faster than it was on my Amiga even with the 030/040 and some 3rd party graphics boards like a Picasso.

Anyway, when I will have the amount of cash, the A1/OS4 situation will be quite different...
