OPENGL problem

I don't know what i've changed in my windows setup, but now when i try to use opengl modes i obtain the following message:

OPENGL: can't use 15/16 bit screen depths because EXT_packed_pixels extension was not found.
Falling back to 32 bit mode.

And in fact 32 bit mode is too slow [ Winuae is designed to work on a 16 bit screen ].

How can i get the opengl to re-work?

[ i don't use it often, but for some games it's cool ]

Thanx in advance.

What video card/s are you using?
I have a Voodoo 3 2000 and I gave up trying to get opengl working along time ago
Perhaps someone here with the same card can hook you up?

I've an ATI radeon ve 7500, but the problem is that some time ago it worked well. It must be a Windows problem

My ATI 3D Rage Ultra card had big problems in xp with OpenGL until I installed unsigned drivers which fixed it.

Looks like the usual MicroScum induced headache...

XP has NO OpenGL support, as a result you have to install the GFX card manufacturers drivers, even if the XP ones work better for everything else... You're usually best going to the GFX chipset maker for their reference drivers as a first stop, as they will have OpenGL support built into them. For ATi cards it's ati.com, for TNT or GeForce it's nvidea.com and for 3DFX VooDoo cards do a search on Google - there are two or three people still developing drivers independantly for these cards.

Once you've got the latest reference drivers, go to opengl.com and get GLSetup, which will get the latest genuine OpenGL drivers for the card, all done automatically.

Hope that helps, and remember; If you ever have Bill Gates in your sights, pull the fcuking trigger!
