CD32 FMV Card Extra Memory?

I've had a look but cant find an answer either way, does the FMV card have an extra 1mb of ram the same way the CDi FMV cart does?

I just wondered because some games for CD-i require the FMV cart but don't use it for FMV but simply to get access to the extra 1mb ram.

Or did the CD32 have enough ram not to require anymore to run the FMV card?

Yeah thinking it cant have, though since the CD-i came with 1mb ram and still needed 1mb onboard the fmv card, i wonder if the original planned fmv card for the cdtv would have had an extra 1mb ram?

CD32 FMV card has 512k of RAM for video decoder chip firmware and video decoding working space/buffers and audio decoder chip buffers, mapped at $280000-$2FFFFF. It is not added to system free memory pool.

Ok thanks for the info, btw do you know how why the CD-i devs can get access to the onboard ram on their FMV card and we can't?

My guess is that it would have broken games that assume system only have chip ram.
