I'm new here, but have you seen this?

What the ??? I thought I had seen everything, this is a machine that is supposed to be "Preserved" by a preservation group...

I choked and spat my coffee out when I read that line.

This is the sort of butchery that when done properly and well, can look good... but I have to say that this is IMHO a serious error of judgement in constructing this and it will fail standard electrical tests because it is not housed in a sealed box, it is exposed and therefore poses a danger to the user, it has been modified and looking like it has also had electrical modification too...!

Particularly like the way the RF shielding has been "carefully cut" to allow access to the kickstart and Agnus chips...

Ouch!

Cheers,
Red

You just can't knock quality when you see it...

Its got everything, part wood frame, wood effect finish and the front end... outstanding workmanship.

IDK who did that to it but it looks like one of grandpa's shed tinkerings / projects.

Does anyone want to volunteer to help them with thier valuation of it?

I would say were talking in the 50 area, thats them paying you 50 to take it off their hands or maybe they should invest in a new shell for it.

Stick a couple of bolts in its temples and the resemblence to Frankenstein's monster is uncanny!

I looked again because I am researching my A500, I can see that it only has a commodore logo, like mine... According to my readings, it is a very early A500 release like mine...

IMHO Granddad that threw this baby together should stay out of the shop...
