WHDLOAD CACR resload FlushCache error

Hi all i posted this in Other UAE support bu then I think its more a WHDLOAD issue? Mods feel free to delete duplicate post.

i'm running E-UAE 0.8.29-WIP4 on a ppc mac G5. I have a hardfile image with classic workbench and WHDLoad installed v18.1.

I'm launching games using Igame but get the same issue launching direct. On some games mainly large aga games such as Banshee and Simon the Sorceror i get this error.

"Installed program has modified the CACR detected on entering via resload_flushCache"

I have tried playing with settings switching off JIT etc to no avail. I'm using same kickstart files I use on my Morphos setup for EUAE and that works perfectly. any ideas?

Thanks
Paul

Hi,

That classically means that the whdload slave did not remove all code which changes CACR. WHDLoad does not like that special registers are changed outside the resload functions.
Which versions of the whdload slaves are you using? And which kickstart files are you using? A600, A1200 or A4000 ones?

Hi Thanks for trying to help :-)

I downloaded the preinstalled packs from KGWHDLOAD and I have all the Kickstarts for all systems along with the RTB files , A500 (kick34005.a500) a1200 (Kick460068.a1200) etc. Hope hats what you meant by which versions if not let me know

"edit" I'm loading E-UAE as an A1200 using the A1200 Rom

Paul

Been playing a bit more and i have got it to work though not always. Something to do with the chip option selected. but now i can't get ibrowse to work though that not the end of the world.

Sometimes the first version of banshee doesnt load (no error message mind you) then if I try the second it loads fine. Then even weirder if I re try the first then it works too!

I think its more to do with the emulator than WHDload now

Thanks for you help though

Paul

Always try PAL/NTSC and NOCACHE tool types.
