Jet Set Billy - New Maps

Attached is hopefully a new map for Jet Set Billy - the game contains a map editor - you can amend the background tiles (I went for a BBC Micro theme based on Palace of Magic - Citadel type of graphics) You can also amend the sprites but need to use the bob editor to have them used in the game.

Not sure if you can change music in the game.

The title page is a quick fix - as I am going back to doing graphics for the new maxwell game, Graham is working on.

The game was about 95% complete as the description from aminet shows:

The game is playable, but lots of stuff is missing. Water doesn't low, graphics are not double buffered, there is no sound effects (though there is lots of music). Naturally the game includes an adequate map editor. In terms of running the game it should work on 2.X kickstarts and later.
To control the character you need to use the cursor keys - up is used to jump - You can press up to jump whilst holding down either left or right cursor key allowing the character to jump whilst walking.

I know some EAB members dislike up for jump - don't know if anyone can add a key mapper to the start up routine to change the cursor key input to joystick movements and fire button for up.

If anyone else has made a level / new map for this game please feel free to upload to this thread.

My first play records 215. Is there an ending screen if I complete the game?

Btw, is it difficult to amend tiles?
I released the game named "Henry & Five towers", new mod for "Henry in panic",
however, it seemed very difficult to amend tiles.
I might ask some questions when I try Jet set billy new maps someday.

Its really easy to amend tiles - just load the graphic file up into deluxe paint and amend - just need to check which tiles do what so don't design a background tile over an existing platform tile.

I don't know if there is an end screen / routine . My gut reaction is no - as the game engine was about 95% complete -

Does anyone else play the game? (grim smile)

Today I tried your map again without save states.
My result was 338 items and 421 points.
I suspected there is a secret room at the right corner of green brick area.
But I couldn't find a secret path.
After that, I saw a map at editor mode.
How do we enter the secret room (room #047)?
Did you use a regular wall for a secret wall?
I tested harddisk version.

PS. There are ending message and music after we collect all items.
I tested it at my own map.

Room 47 should nt have been a secret room - I seem to have added a block by mistake - it leads to a room where you then perform a very big dive into a swimming pool below.

Attached is hopefully an amended disk image with room 47 now accessible.

I did think about doing secret rooms with different coloured wall bricks to highlight false walls.

Hope you enjoye/d the map - also would be great if others share their creations.

EDIT - nittamituaki has added Joystick pad to this jet set willy editior - now attached to this thread.

Map with no enemies and no objects:

Load the game and press F4 at the menu. Blank map would be created automatically.
Then save.

I'll attached files just in case.

I might misread your pm. I don't see what you want to do now.
Don't tell me that you are going to create October version again...?!
I think it wastes your time.
