Amiga cracks with Highscore saving intact.

I was just wondering how many cracked (disk) Amiga games still had their highscore savers working after being cracked? I like to play games where I can save my score, it seems I play highscore saving titles more than non-highscore savers, I guess because on a basic level it's nice to have something to show for your efforts.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to get a list going?

Not so long ago I was playing a cracked/trained game where I was able to save my highscore despite having infinite something or other enabled, for the life of me I can't remember what game it was. Will have to track it down in my collection.

Found it.

*Stardust (cr CLS - ZNT][t +5 MST] (still able to save highscores, even with trainer enabled)

Not all games allowed you to actually save highscores to disk. The table was there just for the day, which I always thought it sucked.

I'd say that the majority of games with Rob Northen's loading routines would save the highscores if the original did as the routines are compatible with AmigaDos. And obviously any game that uses the Amiga OS to load data should also be able to save. It's much more work to replace saving routines on PDos games or custom MFM formats.

The only game I can recall right now is Indy Heat which saves the driver initials and average speed to the disk.

Hmm interesting. I suppose I should look for some games with Rob Northen's loading routines then, got Lotus II & III somewhere in my collection. Never played Indy Heat but it looks kind of fun.

I remember cracked Pinball Dreams saved hiscores to disk. Although - after some time - something got wrong and the last table went corrupt.

Also Gods cracked and trained by Defjam saved hiscores and level codes without any problem.
