Blood Money WHDload

Guys,

Before I submit a WHDload bug report I want to check that there is an issue with this install.

When using WinUAE and the adf/sps image files all is good. When using the WHD slave there are timing/speed issues with the music (depending on the config).

I have tried it with an accelerated emulation and the sound plays ridiculously fast, I have tried it with a basic 2mb a1200 config (quickstart) and the menu/ingame music seems slow.

Can anyone else confirms this please

Thanks

Yep, just tried the IPF and seems OK when loaded as disk images but the WHDLoad install seems slow with the music, did mess with cycle exact/blitter/dsound and got it running what seemed 'normal speed' but can't seem to do it again?

Depends really on the config i guess. I've tried an A1200+68030 CPU with cylce exact cpu/chip setting and the music plays too slow. Anyway, no music timing problems on a real Amiga 1200 with a 1230 ACA turbo card. But it's an ancient slave. Maybe time for an update.

I'll send in the bug report later. It does need an update. Not sure if Wepl will redo this or let someone else.

Is there anyone free to look into this. Seems Wepl isn't interested in a fix according to the bug tracker (http://mantis.whdload.de/view.php?id=3279)

I have noticed no issues at all with this game on my A1200 with ACA1221 28mhz.

I had a look, game has a buggy PAL/NTSC detection (and.l #$1ff000,d1) which is the reason for the music playing at wrong speed. Will be fixed in the updated patch.

Sting, can you also change the installation and choose instead RAWdic from the Patcher ?

The updated Blood Money patch is now available on the WHDLoad site, I have added high score load/save, lots of trainers and some other stuff.

Just tried the new slave, installed with my Blood Money disks from Triad Volume 3 in WinUAE (Made IPF's using Keir Frasers' DiskUtilities) and the intro/game music is still playing slower than booting the IPF's directly in WinUAE on the default A500 config?

My normal WinUAE config is for an A1200/RTG with 128mb fast, no MMU or other addons! Tried NoCache and ticking the Disable Blitter Wait Patches but intro/game music still plays slower than booting the images directly, can't try real hardware as both my A1200 setups are stored away for the time being!

I have no issues with the music on any of my A4000's but I'll have a look again, apparently there must be something more than the buggy PAL/NTSC check which makes the music play too slow.

I'll check, will definitely be fixed!

EDIT: I made a quick test, the PAL/NTSC check in the game is unreliable and the reason for the music problems. I will completely redo it!
