There is a link to deliplayer 2.5 beta here - not sure if it's the one you want

Thanks but does a version exist with pro as well? Or is 2.5 considered pro?

Did you download the files OK?
I just went to eXotica, downloaded Switchblade, Switchblade 2 and Sword of Sodan files, and I am playing them JUST GREAT on XMPlay.

[edit] I even successfully converted Sword of Sodan to WAV using the WAV normalize output module (it rendered all 3 subsongs on the custom module). You must be having some sort of problem with your system.

Tried the same switchblade mod with BZRplayer 1.03 and it crashes?

In order to play the Switchblade Benn Daglish custom format in DeliPlayer 2. The Benn Daglish player needs to be installed.

http://wt.exotica.org.uk/files/playe...ennDaglish.lha

This file will then have to be copied into the DeliPlayer 'AmigaPlayers' directory.

I have tested the Switchblade tune once that player is installed. It plays fine.

I have also tested the 'cust.Sword_of_Sodan' file in DeliPlayer 2 and this also plays fine.

Using DeliPlayer 2.03.

Hmmh, sounds a bit like a problem with corrupting when unpacking the files? What (un)archiver are you using?

md5 or sha checksums could be helpful.

md5:
d3f0dd126666044d7dbb61266a2f3652 bd.Switchblade
2a65d7ef532d93b4694165cb016a5e30 mod.swtit
9a95b1abd7ae162d321f26e5d2abdb62 cust.Sword_of_Sodan

got switchblade to work by putting Benn Daglish in the amigaplayers folder.

UPDATE: Looks like its all solved now, using v203 with a key and all seems to be working. Though by default install playback is outputting to right speaker only. Yet after a MOD to WAV convert, playing the wav its in both speakers.

UPDATE Looks like running deliplayer v203 in Vista 32bit requires you to launch in XP Compatilibity mode. Now both LEFT/RIGHT Speakers are playing fine. And output to WAV works a treat.

Amegas Mod - Simply awesome soooo many to list.

Thanks to all who helped and the member who told me you can convert to ogg/mp3 from unexotica site.

I hope this info helps others who are trying to use deliplayer as well. I consider this thread SOLVED now.

Huge thanks to niobyte You the man!!!

Istill don't understand why you need to use Deliplayer with so much trouble when XMPlay works fine.
I remember sticking to Deliplayer for MANY years because nothing came close, but nowadays XMPlay works just great.

Now that I have myself sorted with deliplayer. I may have a look at xmplay and compare it myself.

I just wondered if there is still functionality unmatched by current software, because as I said, for years it was unrivaled!

Some caveats concerning BZR 103.

IIRC if you are after MMD0/MMD1/MMD2 and some other Amiga formats and want them to be replayed in an emulated environment, you need to get rid of codec_flod and unforntunately codec_xmp, too.

BZR's Hively/AHX plugin seems to be really good. :-)

Mod formats will be replayed with codec_modplug, so it might be inferior to KODE54's dumbengine for XMPlay. You'll loose support for some mod_packers.

It's a young project, BLAZER did a really nice job so far, so it's all a bit hackish atm. Give it some time. Just hoping for a native Linux client ;-)

There is a lot, and it is still unrivalled. Xmplay won't play even half of the formats Deliplayer does for a start.
At the moment, you are limited to Deliplayer on Windows or Eagleplayer on Amiga OS if you want to play a lot of formats, most formats actually.

Are you sure? The Deli plugin accepts pretty much every Deliplayer replayer I have put there except for 3 or 4.

Third party? Those probl. won't work neither in dp2 nor in delix nor in uade, which basically all have the same approach by emulation of running an Amiga environment and lacking one or the other feature.
