Very odd indeed.
That's strange. What's your machine?

Nothing to do with "AGA fix", the game and intro (are supposed to) run fine on 68000 Amigas.

I know about the problems with the old slave and will update it in the near future as I know the game code quite a bit by now.

Thanks everyone for the comments/feedback, much appreciated. There's more to come!

My A500 is a rev 6a with 512k chip and 512k trapdoor memory. It also has the ECS agnus chip. I run it in WinUAE with this same config setup and it displays fine on that. It would be interesting to see if someone else with the same spec machine could try it and see if the problem is replicated.

Nice one Retroplay. Its nice to know its not my Amiga at fault as the old girl can be a bit temperamental in her old age.

No, seems to be DDFSTOP/Modulo related problem. Will be fixed!

Confirmed and I think I know what happens: DDFSTOP was modified ($d0 to $b8) after position $b8 had passed (but before $d0) causing next line of bitplane to start at first possible hpos ($18) because internal ddfstop matched bit was not set.

OCS Agnus sets this internal bitplane state flag at the end (or start) automatically.

(Not yet sure why it does not work in WinUAE, this should have been handled correctly)

EDIT: Thanks for nice test case

I'm guessing your crack of Eliminator may have the same issue too Stingray as its a similar cracktro. I haven't had a chance to try that one on my A500 though to confirm.

EDIT: Actually Eliminator is fine I just tried it so ignore this.

No, the Eliminator intro is not exactly the same intro, there are a few differerences and one of the differences is the changed DDFSTOP to gain more raster time.

My guess was correct, I get exact same result after fixing emulation.

DDFSTOP condition was missed in line $56, line $57 become longer (because it started from $18), causing display to shift left.

I just had a chance to test this on a CD32 with a Gotek, The cracktro screen as mentioned earlier appears split in two sections.

Unfortunately whatever this game is doing it still doesn't want to load on a CD32.

It just goes to a blank screen after the cracktro with the access light blinking.

Nice to see new cracks being made though.
