AmiKit 8 released today!

Read more about it at AmiKit's homepage.

Main feature;
The Classic Amiga community has a lot to celebrate today.

MUI 4 (Magic User Interface) has been released exclusively for AmiKit!

Yes, MUI 4! This is a milestone for classic AmigaOS3 users. It brings the same experience as AmigaOS4 users have been enjoying for years!

AmiKit 8 also includes exclusive version of NetSurf web browser (with new theme painted by Ken Lester) as well as new Directory Opus 5.91 beta (and we hope this boosts its 68k development up).

The 8th major update of AmiKit delivers new graphics, themes, games and improvements & fixes. Also MorpheuZ got new powers. Now you can control even more AmiKit features with this magic daemon.

Hopefully it'll be downloadable soon (since the e-mail says it's only for sale currently(still not really why))

to be specific, mui4 is what morphos users have been enjoying for years while os4 users were enjoying mui3.9 which has lately been ported to amiga as well. os4 mui4 port is also rather fresh, but it is good if all the systems receive about the same standard.

Yes, that sounds so wrong at AmiKit's page and announcement. MUI4 has been the official GUI toolkit of MorphOS for over 6 years, and was only recently adopted to OS4. And AFAIK OS4 version is reverse-engineered/cloned to match in most parts the original version, but without the official support.
