It seems this one speaks for itself.

Michael Biehn as Solid Snake.

The picture is taken from the original Terminator film. It shows how Solid Snakes appearance was HEAVILY influenced by this character.

What about The Last Ninja II. Directed by Ang Lee, Armakuni (The Ninja) played by Yun-Fat Chow.

Or a Turrican movie, "Starship Troopers"-style, but with a lone hero, played by... uhm... any suggestions?

Yes, Last Ninja II would be a nice film with the proper actor of course. Would Chow Yun-Fat be good in this part, dunno.

As for the Turrican film, you want somebody new or pretty new rather then any of the aging action stars. I like how Jet Li looked in the One, fun action flick

Getting a bit ahead of yourselves aren't you?

Should you have "The Last Ninja" first?

This is soo gonna get me geekmodded.. but I always thought

Tie fighter!
The game was excellent, telling a lot of the story from the empires perspective how they bring order to the galaxy. In the end the rebel scum will be crushed, our beloved emperor bring peace to the star systems and we get some real Vader, not that toy jedi crap we have now.
Actors are self explanatory.

Beneath a Steel Sky would make an amazing film, will have to think a bit more about the cast though...

Half the fun of this thread was who you see in the starring roles.

Samuel L Jackson - Beneath a Steel Sky?

Hmm for syndicate we need 4 similar actors - why.... it's the baldwins! Or if their enhanced but different we could have Vin Diesel, The Rock, Stallone and Arnie. There we go, no budget left for the film so it would have to be recreated using shots from blade runner!
